Japan has been my favorite country for a number of reasons. I guess these reasons, which I had in mind now proved to be strong enough for me to initiate a specially dedicated blog about this country, the people, lifestyle and culture et cetera et cetera.

Japan is a land rich with fascination. For natural beauty of scenaries, Japan indeed have few equals. According to Japanese legends, which was well dictated in the historical chronicles Kojiki (712, Record of Ancient Matters), that the people of Japan are descended from the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu Omikami. But it the divinity concept doesn’t only stops there, the land of Japan itself is considered as divine. Well, looking at the many wonderful natural aspect, landscape and the existing life in Japan since way back time, it is rather easy to understand how the early Japanese might have come to this conclusion. It’s as if they feel and sense the divine aura from their surrounding.

The Japanese people itself are of dinstinctive group of people who are also highly conscious of their heritage. For me, the most intriguing feature of the Japanese people lies in the sense of innovation and reengineering, whereby I think they have an extraordinary capacity of borrowing and adapting but yet, able to maintain their own individuality and uniqueness. They are not alone in moulding their extremely distinctive culture, which indeed one of its own. they are higly indebted to China for their cultural development, but submerged as none other than its ownself – Japan and the Japanese people.

The main point of setting up this site is purely due to my own interest of Japan, it’s people, culture and every other little things. It’s a great experience learning about the country as it offers quite a wonder to my ever query mind.
